.. _fmea_settings: FMECA Settings ================ The main settings of FMECA can be modified by accessing ``FMECA > Settings``. General Settings ------------------ For the FMECA table, inside ``General Settings``, the user can customize the dropdown options for the fields: **Criticality**, **Detection**, **Mission Phase**, and **Failure Mode**. .. image:: img/fmea_settings1.PNG :width: 696.47pt When adding new parts in the FMEA, these default failure modes are taken unless it is specifically said that failure modes from MIL-HDBK-338B are desired. As it can be seen in the image above, the user can add or remove options for each field. Note that predefined options are given for new systems. Column Settings ------------------ The user can also change the visibility and order of the columns of the FMECA Table inside the ``Column Settings`` option. First, select the system where you want to perform the changes. In the lefthand side box, check the columns you would like to display in the FMECA Table and uncheck the ones you would like to hide. Note that when a column is checked, it will appear last in the righthand side box, and when uncheked, it will be hidden from the same box. To change the display order, drag each column up or down to the position where you want it to be displayed displayed. Once all the visibility and order changes are performed, click on the ``Save columns`` button on the lower part of the page. .. image:: img/fmea_settings2_updated.PNG :width: 696.47pt
